"Mandy Moore On The Rise"
Mandy Moore has been one busy teen this year. The
15-year-old singer has been working hard to make a name for herself
since the release of her certified gold selling debut album So
Real, which features the hit song "Candy." Mandy got
a huge helping hand in experience, as well as exposure, while
touring with super pop groups the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync.
But lately she has been taking matters into her own hands in the
furtherance of her promising career.
One of the places that Mandy has been made very comfortable is
on the set of numerous MTV shows. Since her videos have been such
a hit, she was a welcome guest host on MTV's TRL, replacing Carson
Daly as he took a break from hosting the show for a week. She
also gave a stellar MTV performance of "Candy" on their
Snowed In special where she was warmly recieved in the cold mountain
surroundings, just a few days before debuting her newest video
"Walk Me Home" on MTV. In addition to all this, Many
has also been a celebrity judge on the hilarious Say What? Karaoke.
Most recently, Mandy came home from her promotional tour throughout
Asia to take part in MTV's Spring Break, in Cancun, Mexico. If
you missed it we are sure it will be aired a few more times in
April, along with her appearance at MTV's "Ball 2K"
Rock 'n' Jock, which debuts on April 1st.
Expect big things from this young dynamo as the
year goes on, especially some more really great music. Mandy has
shown the talent and maturity to take her career straight to the
top. And if that fails, she has said she wouldn't mind having.
Although, we don't think she has to worry about choosing an alternative
career just yet. Besides, the teen singer is also an honor student
and has the brains and charm to do well at anything she puts her
mind to.
"What's Happening?"
The 15-year-old singer of the hit song "Candy,"
Mandy Moore, has struck again a new single and video for her favorite
song off So Real, "Walk Me Home." The new video features
Eric Lively, of American Pie fame as the teen star's romantic
interest. The new release is a love song, but one that the singer
feels represents her well. Mandy said of the song and video, "It's
not me trying to be somebody that I'm not, or it's not me trying
to be somebody older. It's just me [dealing with] stuff I've experienced,
and the way I feel about stuff."
